This week, I was in Austin for a meeting of the Commission on Public School Finance. During this meeting, we heard the recommendations from the Outcomes Work Group. The commission meeting originally scheduled for August 8 has now turned into a meeting for the Expenditures Work Group only. This was announced at the end of the meeting, but I wanted to make sure you could mark your calendar accordingly. As always, you can find more information on the School Finance Commission website.

It was so great to see so many of you at the Community Input meeting for the San Jacinto Watershed. As the Harris County Flood Control District moves forward with its plans, I will be sure to keep you informed of any developments. In this edition of the newsletter, you’ll find several pieces of information that can help you make your decision when the bond election comes around. If you were not able to make the meeting on Tuesday, there is a video of the meeting below.

If you have any questions comments or concerns about anything at all, please feel free to contact my office. My email (and my staff’s emails) are linked at the bottom of the newsletter. You can also feel free to call my Capitol office at 512-463-0520 or my District office at 281-360-9410.

Have a great weekend!
